What is the on-premise equipment installed at customer site?

Who pays for the on-premise equipment?
Whitney Networks provides the on-premise equipment to the service provider at no cost. The service provider shall provide the on-premise equipment at no cost to the SMB customer.
Who does the customer site configuration and installation?
The service provider does the configuration and installation of each customer site. A salesperson takes the customer order and selects the package. The Whitney Networks’ platform self-provisions the equipment prior to shipment. The field technician installs the equipment at the site. Whitney Networks provides the training and support to the service provider.
Are there any additional costs?
Initial equipment including the secure edge router and wireless AP is provided at no cost to the service provider. GigE expansion switches and additional access points are provided at additional cost.
Do SMB customers take support from Whitney?
No. SMB customers are supported solely by the service provider and their teams. However, the service provider may opt to outsource the support.
What support does Whitney Networks offer?
Whitney Networks provides support to the service provider. This includes support for the use, operation, and management of the cloud-based managed services platform; support for configuration and installation of the on-premise equipment. Whitney Networks also provides sales and marketing support to the service provider.
What training does Whitney Networks offer?
Whitney Networks provides training to the service provider personnel. This includes training for configuration and installation of the on-premise equipment; and the monitoring, management, and maintenance of customer sites using the cloud-based managed services platform. Whitney Networks also provides training to the marketing and sales teams of the service provider.
Can we change the packages or cancel at any time?
Yes. The service provider may change the packages at any time. Whitney Networks cloud-based platform will support the changes to the packages for provisioning the sites. The service can be canceled at any time.
What new features are in your future releases?
We plan to include several new features in our immediate future releases including filtering by domains (URL filtering), Active Directory support, endpoint management, VoIP, WAN failover, and more integrations with cloud-based applications.
Do we need to hire specialists to manage and operate the Whitney platform?
No. Whitney Networks provides the training and support for field and NOC operations, as well as for sales and marketing. This training should enable your current team to expand and deliver the new managed services offering. As your business expands, you may have to hire additional personnel as needed.

What is the cost of licensing your cloud platform?
There is no cost to licensing the cloud-based managed services platform. Whitney Networks provides the cloud-based managed services platform to the service provider and their channel partners at no cost.
What about warranty and refunds?
Whitney Networks’ on-premise equipment is provided as a leased equipment with full warranty. The service provider may offer a full no-cost warranty to their SMB customers. We encourage the service provider to offer pro-rated refunds on the monthly subscription where applicable.
When can we start deployment to our customers?
You could start deployments right away. Please contact us to get our agreement, training, and support to engage your customers.
